Lost Valley Education & Event Center

Lost Valley Education & Event CenterLost Valley Education Center is a community land trust and bioregional learning center that offers education and hands-on practice in ecological stewardship, permaculture food systems, and rural community resilience. We are actively working to address the social and ecological devastation caused by colonial settlement and continued development, while providing an alternative model for how humans can exist as stewards, communitarians, and interdependent beings of Place.

We accomplish this by restoring native habitats across 87 acres of diverse ecosystems, cultivating place-based food systems, providing low-income housing for rural cooperative living, and offering accessible education that equips people with the necessary skills to transition toward collaborative regenerative livelihoods.

Visitors of the Lost Valley booth will have the opportunity to learn about oak savanna habitat restoration, fire ecology, permaculture gardening, sociocratic governance, and rural community living.

We will be sharing about our Free Community Resilience Workshops and other courses, our 3-month internship program, and upcoming events! The Lost Valley booth will also have an interactive permaculture design game for visitors to learn while they play, and a seed swap where visitors can take home free seeds for their gardens.

Come by the Lost Valley booth to connect with local permaculture practitioners and community land trust residents to explore alternative frameworks for living in reciprocity with the more-than-human world, and building community resilience across the Cascadia bioregion.
