The Oregon Solar + Storage Industries Association (OSSIA) is a trade association founded in 1981 to promote clean, renewable, solar technologies. OSSIA members include businesses, non-profit groups, & other solar industry stakeholders.

We provide a unified & respected voice of the solar industry & focus exclusively on the solar value chain; from workforce development to permitting, advocacy, policy, & regulation for residential, commercial, community, & utility scale solar projects on the local, state & regional level.

OSSIA members help link the people with the ability to utilize the power of the sun. We can help explain the basic function of solar systems installed in Oregon, past and present. We can also connect you with a list of contractors state wide (on our website) and also give insight into what technology is available now, how it works, how to maintain older systems and when they might want to replace them.

We can help guide you thru the plethora of ‘buy down’ incentives offered by the Federal and State government and some utilities.

It’s a constantly changing landscape especially in 2025. OSSIA also helps advocate for other state and national issues like consumer protections, preserving Net Metering and also adoption of ‘Virtual Power Plants’.
