Science of Energy

Our booth is staffed by faculty, grads students, and undergraduate students from the University of Oregon Department of Physics.

We conduct scientific research on a wide number of topics, such as applications in energy and materials as well as studies of the fundamental structure of the universe. We collaborate with industry, national labs, and international institutions to conduct this research.

In addition to research, our department trains the next generation of scientists, engineers, and problem solvers through various classes, workshops, and outreach programs.

Stop by our booth and speak with professors and students from the physics department who can answer your questions about science and energy. We have also had many fun discussions about quantum mechanics, relativity, and other contemporary physics topics that kids of all ages wonder about!
